The recent New York Times Best Seller, Widow of the South by Robert Hicks has brought the Carnton Plantation and the Battle of Franklin into newfound prominence and personal relevance. This important and significant historic battle, although long out of the public eye, has now resurfaced as one of the critical battles of the Civil War history.
